Blizard Flow Cytometry Core Facility

Overview

The Flow Cytometry Core Facility at the Blizard Institute provides state-of-the-art instrumentation, expert support, and comprehensive training to enable high-quality, reproducible research. We offer access to advanced flow cytometers, cell sorters, and data analysis tools, supporting a wide range of applications in both basic and applied biological sciences.

We welcome all QMUL researchers as well as external academic institutions and private research companies, providing flexible access to our expertise and resources.

Conventional Flow Cytometry

  • Acea Novocyte 3000 (Violet/Blue/Red lasers - 8 detectors).
  • BD FACS Canto II (Violet/Blue/Red lasers - 13 detectors).
  • BD LSR II (UV/Violet/Blue/Yellow-Green/Red lasers - 18 detectors).

Spectral Flow Cytometry

  • Cytek Aurora (UV/Violet/Blue/Yellow-Green/Red lasers - 40 colours)

Cell Sorter

  • BD Aria IIIu (Violet/Blue/Yellow-Green/Red lasers)
